Study of the Physical and Physiological Response of the Madura as a Breeding Source (Case Study in Waru Sub-District, Pamekasan District)

The study aimed to determine the physical and physiological response of Madura bull as a breeding source. This used 30 bulls aged >12-24 months at Waru Sub District, Pamekasan District. evaluation was performed including qualitative quantitative characteristics. Physiological evaluated based on rectal temperature, respiration rate, pulse rate. status measurements were carried out in morning, day, afternoon. descriptive methods direct observation. results showed that characteristics color, ear shape, horn, tail tip warrants, back leg shape muzzle color already followed SNI standards for beef cattle. According characteristics, have 157 cm ± 12,6 chest circumference, 121 10,8 body length, 118,83 7,21 height average.
